Ion Mask water repellent surface treatment
on a new surface treatment called Ion Mask developed in the UK to boost the water repellency of both the outside and the inside of electronic devices. Itís a plasma surface treatment being marketed by , and it's the inside part that I find intriguing.

They claim that they can treat the insides of say an MP3 player without affecting its electrical properties, so even if you dunked it in water the moisture would be repelled from all the components. Presumably this would work against condensation forming inside gadgets like GPSes in cold weather also.

They also have licensed the technology for "The World's First Antibacterial and Hydrophobic Urine Director" to !
