Verizon G'zOne Waterproof Phone
PC Magazine has published a review of the ruggedized phone. They were impressed by it, though marked it down for no Bluetooth (which I'd concur is a major downside) or analog roaming (almost a non-issue these days, although possibly in the backcountry). It does support Verizon's fastest EV-DO data service though.

It is fully waterproof (rated for 30 minutes immersion) and the reviewer took pictures and video in a swimming pool, and made calls from the shower! It's also well protected against impact.

The reviewer compared it primarily with the equally rugged (though not immersion-rated) , which he came away with a preference for. He didn't try driving a Saturn Sky over the G'zOne like he did the i580!

The review made no comment one way or the other about whether the G'zOne supports Verizon's Navigator A-GPS service. Like many Nextel phones, the i580 has GPS capabilities.
