Vail Resorts EpicMix
Vail Resorts has announced an exciting new statistics service for its season pass holders: EpicMix. Available at its five resorts, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone and Vail in Colorado, and Heavenly in California, EpicMix uses the RFID chip in the season pass to log each time the skier passes through a lift. Since it does not use GPS to actually track the skier, the stats available are nowhere near as detailed as with our Snow Days service, nor can it report on which runs the skier actually did (only the lifts). It's also only available at the five Vail resorts, rather than working across any resort the way that Snow Days does, but it's great to see a major player like Vail Resorts endorsing the concept of ski stats tracking and skier location.
