SnowRanger Now Offers "Turn by Turn" Directions
As well as a broad range of map updates, the 2009/10 versions of SnowRanger North America and SnowRanger Europe offer turn-by-turn directions on the mountain, just like your car's navigation system! SnowRanger will now guide you along the lifts and runs (pistes) that get you to your chosen destination. Most Garmin GPSes support this routing feature, even the "outdoors" models like the eTrex series. On vehicle type units such as the nuvi, the directions will be spoken, and you can be skiing along listening to directions in an earpiece if you connect one to the GPS! For outdoors units the directions are shown on-screen, and the unit will usually "beep" to announce that the directions displayed have changed.
