SnowRanger MapSource CD-ROM and Apple Mac
Most people buy SnowRanger on memory card, and the kind of computer they use is not a factor. If, however, you would like to be able to view the maps on your Apple Mac, or if you own a GPS that does not have a memory card slot and you want to download SnowRanger to the GPS from your Mac, there is now a way. Although Garmin MapSource (as supplied on our CD-ROM version) is not compatible with a Mac, Garmin do have a free software package, BaseCamp, that allows you to view MapSource compatible maps, like SnowRanger, on a Mac, and download them to your GPS.
