Skiing Magazine's Top 25 Resorts
Following-on from last month's publishing of Ski Magazine's Top 10 Resorts on SKINET, their sister title Skiing has published its Top 25. This also appears in their November print edition. Top is Whistler Blackcomb, followed by Alta/Snowbird, Jackson Hole, Vail (Ski's winner), and Squaw Valley. The Skiing rankings differ markedly from Ski's, reflecting their different audiences. Skiing focuses heavily on the snow and the challenge of the resorts, while Ski looks at the resorts' amenities and broad appeal. We have SnowRanger GPS trail maps of 24 of the Skiing top 25 resorts (which actually come to 28 if you separate out Alta/Snowbird, Big Sky/Moonlight Basin, and Aspen/Aspen Highlands, which they combine).
