HP say pen-based PDA market shrinking 30% annually
Quoting HP's Vice-President for Consumer Products and Mobile Business Group in the Asia-Pacific region, Chin-Teik, reports that the pen-based PDA market will likely evaporate in the next four years. It's a bold statement, on the face of it an overreaction to the popularity of BlackBerry and Treo style phones and PDAs with the tiny attached keyboards, but clearly HP has the industry position to be well informed on such trends.

Personally I am agnostic on this one, as both modes of primary input seem to work well. HP et al: just make sure that every new PDA and SmartPhone comes with a GPS receiver built in!
