Garmin drops all but one PDA
WindowsMobileToday and other news sites are that Garmin is dropping all of its Windows Mobile (Pocket PC) based GPS-enabled PDAs, leaving the Palm-based iQue 3600 as the only model. As the article points out, and other PDA and smartphone manufacturers now make GPS-enabled devices, so the market will continue to be well served. Plus a Bluetooth GPS can be easily used with nearly all Bluetooth-enabled phones, smartphones, and PDAs.

The iQue was Garmin's cheapest PDA, and also supports microSD cards like most of their recently introduced dedicated GPS units, which might be why it was the one spared. I would imagine too that the popular nuvi series has been cannibalizing Garmin's own PDA sales.
